Maria is an award-winning journalist and was named AP Sports Anchor of the Year and ABBY Sports Anchor of the Year. She was also recognized for multiple stories and work in the sports department. She is a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi, 'Ole Miss,' where she got her degree in broadcast journalism.
